A Few Good Men was a movie I’ve quoted throughout my life but had never seen. Quick summary, a marine, Santiago is found dead in Guantanimo Bay. Two other marines are arrested and to be tried for his murder. Tom Cruise’s character, Lt. Daniel Kaffee is a lawyer known for making plea deals is assigned to the case. The movie follows the military court process and the unravelling of what may be a greater conspiracy. Overall, the movie was really good! Jack Nicholson continues to prove that he is the perfect person to play crazy. I also see why Tom Cruise was in so many movies, he was a heartthrob from the beginning of his career.

Apollo 13 is a docudrama following the true events of the aborted Apollo 13 mission. I enjoyed this movie a lot. There were a lot of familiar faces, but as the movie was released in 1995, much younger. The movie was good! As a fan of space movies, this was a thrilling watch. It’s clear they used some CGI for the movie but they still kept alot of practical effect which I appreciated. The in-space scenes were done really well. The movie portrayed the coordianation between mission control and the astronauts very well. It also showed how many people make up mission control and how important each of their roles are. There was something missing about the movie, maybe a greater attachment to the characters? I’m not sure. Overall I enjoyed it and I would see myself going back and watching it again, so I’d give it a 4/5 and I’d keep it in my collection. The next movie is A Few Good Men.

What can I say about this movie, its been a long time since I’ve watched a proper childrens movie, grew up on the old Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks movies and I adore them. Children’s movies feel like just spin-offs and slop now. Of course there have been diamonds released but I hadn’t given them the chance yet. The last couple children’s movies I’ve seen have been Finding Dory in 2016, Incredibles 2 in 2018 and Sing last year. The Wild Robot rekindled my love for children’s movies. It elicited emotions me that I haven’t felt in a long time. I don’t think I’ve ever cried during a movie before and during this movie I cried 4 times. I got very attached to all the characters, the voice acting was great and the animation was beautiful. I am reinspired to try children’s movies again, I’ve been told to watch the Puss in Boots movie so thats going on the backlog. Anyway I’d call The Wild Robot a masterpiece, 5/5. Next week’s movie is Apollo 13.
