“When Harry Met Sally” is a rom-com from 1989 starring Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. It was great, this will probably be a quick post, cause the movie is just a great romantic comedy. I can see a lot of tropes that this movie inspired in future rom-com movies. I think both lead actors did great in their roles. We always love a good friends-to-lovers story, and they play both parts well. I was trying to pinpoint where I knew Billy Crystal from, and he’s Miracle Max in The Princess Bride!

The movie takes place from the 1970s through the 80s. It’s funny, the movie makes me feel nostalgic for a time I wasn’t alive for. The movie starts with two people who finish college and just start over in a new city, how crazy is that! People only talked face-to-face or over their corded phones. If you wanted to know if someone is seeing anyone, you’d have to ask their friends and not stalk them on social media. It seemed so human, I guess?

I liked it a lot, I’d give it a 4/5! Next week’s movie is The Grand Budapest Hotel.
